Rakita’s Info Center celebrates its fourth anniversary on 27 April.
In the past four years, the Info Center has established successful communication with the stakeholders of the Čukaru Peki project. Its staff always provides timely service to those living in the zone of geological exploration.
“Since it was established in 2014, our Info Center has had about 8,000 visits. This shows a great interest in all aspects of the project, three of which seem to be of particular interest to locals. First, they are interested in our land acquisition procedure, i.e. how those who want to sell us their land can do it. Then they are interested in donations to the local community, and last but not least, they are interested in job vacancies in Rakita,” says Darko Stojadinović, Communications Manager, who has been in charge of the Info Center since it was established.
Stojadinović adds that those who visit the Info Center can also get information on the progress of Čukaru Peki project, or simply learn more about the company and its employees.
“When we opened in April 2014, citizens knew very little about the nature of the project and even less about Rakita. By direct communication with the Info Center, regular meetings with the local community offices and harmonious cooperation with civil society organisations, we have reached a point where ‘Rakita’ and ‘Čukaru Peki’ have become synonymous with development and prosperity,” adds Stojadinović.
The key segment of the work of the Info Center, carefully fostered since it opened, is respect for each visitor and their needs. Whether they want to apply for a donation or have a complaint or are interested in selling their land, their case is quickly forwarded into the standard procedure and processed as swiftly as possible.
“We have a special relationship with the visitors of the Info Center based on trust and good communication. This is very important because Čukaru Peki is a long-term project, which means that both Rakita and the Info Center will be around for a long time,” concludes Stojadinović.
The Info Center is open for visitors on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm.
