Two hundred fifty children aged up to 10, from Brestovac, Metovnica and Slatina, received New Year gifts as a gift from Rakita, and within the same initiative, the Novak Đoković Foundation organized theatre play “Novogodišnji slučaj čarobnice Lili” for all of them at the Music School in the performance of the Timok Krajina Theater “Zoran Radmilović” from Zaječar.
Preholiday spirit of children was completed with free photographing with Santa Claus, as well as packets with sweets and valuable gifts.
“This is truly a wonderful gift. There are many sweets and some things I can use at school,” a girl did not hide her satisfaction, while her friend was satisfied because he found a valuable gift in his packet. “I am very happy with all this, most of all with the synthesizer,” said a little boy holding a packet of his height.
Vojkan Pavlović, Deputy President of the Council of the Local Community of Slatina, expressed gratitude on behalf of the three villages.
“It is a great pleasure to see happy and smiling faces of all the kids. This initiative is the best preparation for New Year’s holidays,” said Pavlović.
Media Relations / Corporate Communications Manager at Rakita, Darko Stojadinović, reminded that Rakita is dedicated to cooperation with the local community and that it devotes great attention to children.
“It’s enough to see all of these kids, their smiles and joy and to conclude that the action was successful. The upcoming New Year’s and Christmas holidays are especially a joyful period for all children and we are pleased to be able to fulfil their happiness in this way,” said Stojadinović.
The successful implementation of the action was assisted by the City Administration of Bor, councils of three local communities and elementary schools in these villages, the Center for Culture of the City of Bor and Music School “Miodrag Vasiljević” in Bor.
