Crane Operator

Position title: Crane Operator


  1. Objective: Operating the mobile crane in order to perform daily operational tasks .
  2. Primary activities and tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
  • Responsible for the safe operation of mobile crane capacity of 50t and  completion of assigned tasks, including lifting loads, loading/unloading of cargo and other similar duties; 
  • Controls the condition of the equipment on a daily basis, takes care of the maintenance of the mobile crane (initiates a repair request), ensures its safe use, and maintains proper records of use and maintenance;
  • Responsible for the storage and maintenance of the auxiliary tools which is used in work with the mobile crane; 
  • Keeps operation records of mobile crane, and counting the monthly engineering operation time, fuel consumption and maintenance costs; 
  • Performs other daily duties in accordance with scheduling of the Electro-mechanical Department, helps to supervise the execution of the works;
  • Prepares work reports and submits them to the Junior Mechanical Engineer; 
  • Reports timely and accurately to his superior and is responsible for data accuracy;
  • Adhering to ethical principles of the profession and acting in accordance with company policies and procedures;
  • Performing other duties within their education at the request of the immediate superior;
  • He/she is obliged and responsible, within the scope of his/her work, to implement measures for safe and healthy work in accordance with the safety and health at work, other relevant regulations and the Rules on Safety and Health at Work;
  • Observing environmental measures and fire protection within the scope of his/her duties, 
  • Participating in ensuring the functioning of the quality system in accordance with quality standards.

  1. Reporting Responsibilities:
  • This position reports to Junior Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Engineer – Technical Advisor.
  1. Department:
  • Electro-mechanical Department.
  1. Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  1. Education and/or Experience, Certificates:
  • Completed secondary education of IV degree;
  • Certificate on professional qualifications for handling mobile crane;
  • B category driver’s license (active driver)
  • Minimum 5 years of previous work experience in handling a mobile crane with a payload of up to and over 50t;. 
  1. Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent movement coordination and general physical mobility;
  • Compliance with safety and health rules at work;
  • Good English speaker is preferred.
