Electrician

Position title: Electrician

  1. Objective: Performing operative electrical activities in the company.
  2. Primary activities and tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
  • Handling high voltage (35 and 10 kV) equipment and facilities;
  • Handles low voltage equipment;
  • Maintaing high voltage and low voltage electrical installations and equipment;
  • Maintains and handles diesel electric generators;
  • Servicing high voltage and low voltage cables; 
  • When necessary, operates a forklift in order of performing duties within own scope of work;
  • Reports timely and accurately to his superior and is responsible for data accuracy;
  • Adhering to ethical principles of the profession and acting in accordance with company policies and procedures;
  • Performing other duties within their education at the request of the immediate superior;
  • He/she is obliged and responsible, within the scope of his/her work, to implement measures for safe and healthy work in accordance with the safety and health at work, other relevant regulations and the Rules on Safety and Health at Work;
  • Observing environmental measures and fire protection within the scope of his/her duties;
  • Participating in ensuring the functioning of the quality system in accordance with quality standards.

  1. Reporting Responsibilities:
  • This position reports to Electrical Engineer.
  1. Department:
  • Electromechanical Department.
  1. Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  1. Education and/or Experience, Certificates:
  • Acquired secondary education in tree or four year’s duration in electrical field (preferably: electrotechician of energetics or electrician of circuits and facilities;
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in performing same or similar activities, mainly maintaining and installation of equipment; 
  • Drivers license – B category.
  1. Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience in working in mining industry with a passed state vocational exam in mining shall be considered an advantage;
  • Ability to handle a forklift shall be considered an advantage; 
  • Able to perform job function with a minimum of daily supervision,
  • Co-operative and supportive team player.
